LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — After the reopening of several casinos, hotels, bars, and shopping malls, some are wondering if it is safe to go out and visit them again, especially after the recent increase of reported COVID-19 cases.
CLINTON — Wild Rose Casinos & Resort will reopen Monday in compliance with the proclamation announced by Gov. Kim Reynolds on May 26, according to casino officials. This includes restrictions.
13 Action News has received several emails and phone calls from viewers who say they have not seen a lot of people following proper social distancing.
While casinos have added to their safety protocols while reopening, with employees wearing masks and encouraging customers to do the same (while providing them), many guests seem not to be following the new guidelines.
’That should be a hint to the public. We’re practicing safe distancing, we would respect, you should do the same,’ said local Dr. Jeffrey Ng.
*Gateway’s Casino Rama Resort is in the process of preparing to reopen its doors to its players, the operator’s Rob Mitchell has said. Mitchell is the Director of Communications and Public Affairs for Gateway Casinos and Entertainment.
*This is the dramatic moment police were forced to break up a large party at a Christmas market last night. Furious locals in Nottingham voiced their anger over the gathering, with many seeming to.
*When will Napoleons Casino and Restaurants reopen? Like all other non-essential businesses across the UK, Napoleons Casino and Restaurants is not set to re-open in the near future. We are closely monitoring the situation and any announcements made by the Prime Minister, and will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.
He said he visited some off-the-strip casinos and was surprised by what he saw.
’30 percent of the guests were wearing masks. More people at the tables were wearing them, but there were a lot of people not wearing one,’ Ng said. ’Also, the 6-feet distancing is hard to do in a casino, but they’re doing it the best it can be.’
So, how safe is it to visit a casino now? Ng says it is up to you, especially since you’ll encounter a lot of strangers.
’You go to a table and see three of the four people not wearing a mask, don’t go there, but it’s your choice. Is it safe? I would strongly recommend using a mask. I still think you can gamble, but you have to be careful, and everyone should respect the rules,’ Dr. Ng said.
Local bars and restaurants also have safety guidelines in place, and employees are required to wear a mask.
However, patrons are in a different situation; they’re not required to wear a mask.
Dr. Ng says that it’s important to be aware of the risks you could face when drinking or eating.
’A lot of it is common sense, and people are going to bars without wearing a mask. So, if you walk up to a bar, and you see that. My advice is to walk away, leave the bar, and find a place where everyone is repeating the mask rule,’ Dr. Ng said.
Additionally, the same precautions apply to other activities like shopping.
Dr. Ng said he visited the Fashion Show Mall and noticed a greater sense of awareness in customers, where most of them were wearing a mask, with some stores not allowing guests in without a face covering.Related ArticlesDCMS pushes for Ofcom to become the regulator of ‘online environments’Gambling industry must take ‘holistic approach’ to 2005 Act reviewIain Duncan Smith: Radical change requires Gambling Commission to be axed
Communicating on behalf of its members, the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) has declared that England’s casinos will be ready to reopen and service the public safely from 4 July.
As part of the government’s ‘stage 3’ arrangement of lockdown easings, hospitality and leisure businesses across England will be allowed to reopen from 4 July, providing that they adhere to strict social distancing orders and hygiene commands.
The reopening of leisure and hospitality venues has been deemed by health experts as the toughest easing procedure to monitor safety, as the UK looks to avoid a second wave of infections.
Michael Dugher, the BGC’s chief executive, said: “Nothing is more important to the casino sector than the safety of staff and customers. I know that the casino operators have been working tirelessly to ensure that when they do reopen for business again, every possible measure will be in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone who enters the premises.”
The BGC underlined that all UK casinos have committed to enforcing stringent measures put in place at venues ensuring the safety of staff and customers.
Entry to casinos will also be limited to one person at a time, with venues enforcing a two-metre social distancing policy on outside queues.
Furthermore, all customers will be required to use hand sanitisers before entry and when joining or leaving a gambling table.
In-venue requirements will see table capacities limited, with gaming machines cleaned after each session, in addition to ATMs being sanitised every hour.
Each casino will be required to implement a venue floor layout for patrons to obey social distancing measures at all times. Protecting staff, casino venues have been ordered to provide plexiglass screens wherever possible.
The BGC added that ‘trained staff’ will be on hand to promote safer gambling for customers returning to venues.
Despite the government easing lockdown orders, the BGC emphasised that a number of high-end casinos will not return to business as the pandemic has disrupted the majority of its overseas clientele.
BGC casino members are awaiting vital developments on travel restriction easing before the sector can resemble normal trading conditions.
Closing its statement, the BGC reminded MPs that the casino sector contributes more than £300m a year to the UK Exchequer, while also employing nearly 13,000 people
The statement added: “Casinos make a significant contribution to the economy, including through taxation and employment, as part of the leisure, hospitality, entertainment and tourism sectors.
“They have also played a hugely important role, not just in the national effort to combat covid-19 by keeping their doors shut since March, but also through their support for communities – for example with the provision of food from their kitchens and the use of their venues.Casino Lac Leamy Reopening Date
Gambling policy. “It is welcome that they are in line to reopen again from 4 July, but the message to the government now is that they are ready, willing and able to open safely.
“We know that the casino sector faces some very tough times ahead and the threat posed by covid to many businesses won’t go away quickly. That’s why we would also urge the Government to continue to be flexible in their approach to the hospitality and leisure industry as its furlough scheme is wound down. Craps table dice stick. “Even though they will be ready to open their doors on 4 July, casinos will still be forced to operate at a reduced capacity for some time to come because of the need to maintain social distancing. We would urge the Chancellor to keep being flexible and continue providing support as the country emerges from the pandemic.”

Online Gambling Banking

Online banking in the gaming industry by Mark Walker March 31, 2020 April 17, 2020 One aspect of the online casino industry that’s rarely talked about is how the different financial transactions involved are handled. Online gambling is becoming increasingly more prevalent and with that popularity has arisen more and more choices for money management - more and more banking methods have appeared. Here you will find a list of the most popular banking methods and the casinos that use them as well as a summary of the features of each method. Different Types of Gambling Site Payment Methods. The online gambling industry is really quite a marvel when you think about it. All the way back in the mid-1990s, when the Internet was barely in people’s homes, and many still didn’t quite understand what it could be used for, a group of folks realized that they could create software that would allow you to gamble without having to leave. The true beauty of online banking transfers is that players don’t have to share any of their financial information with the NJ online gambling site. Instead, depositing players will be directed right to their online banking portal, where they’ll enter their banking ID and password to complete the transaction.

The online gambling industry is really quite a marvel when you think about it. All the way back in the mid-1990s, when the Internet was barely in people’s homes, and many still didn’t quite understand what it could be used for, a group of folks realized that they could create software that would allow you to gamble without having to leave your home. Now, to do that, you would have to be able to put real money into your digital account. This would turn out to be one of the biggest leaps of faith that any individual would make – sending your personal banking information over a wire to an unknown source to pay for your gambling.
Of course, we all know what has happened with online payments over the last 20 years. Today, people pay online for basically everything, and it has become second nature for us to have our banking information stored on these sites. However, even though the online gambling industry can be credited with being one of the earliest adopters of online payment processing, in certain areas it has faced a more uphill battle than any other industry. This page will give you an outline of the industry – what payment processing looks like today, as well as links to details about many of the companies in the space looking to help you make your real money deposits.US-Friendly Deposit Methods
When we talk about all the deposit options that are available in the online gambling industry today, the easiest way to separate them is by region. Specifically, as a result of the UIGEA bill, we split our deposit methods into two groups – US-friendly and non-US-friendly. Now, many of the methods you see on the US list are, of course, still available in other countries.
Despite all the challenges that have been faced in the online gambling industry in the United States, it is still a huge business with millions of dollars of deposits being taken in daily. Americans do have to put up with the risk on the operator going out of business, which at times can dissuade them from making large deposits. Operators, on the other hand, must pay processing fees that are significantly higher than in other countries given the complexity of trying to process cards from American banks in light of the law.
If you click on any of the links below, you will be taken to a page outlining the details of that deposit method.Cryptocurrency
Over the last few years, there has been a major shift in the way money changes hands online. Back in 2009, a new and decentralized form of currency came to prominence called cryptocurrency. This highly secure ledger-based method of paying for goods and services took off with the first currency, Bitcoin. Today, there are hundreds of coins available on the market. The online gambling industry was one of the first to fully embrace this new technology, especially for processing US deposits. However, these digital currencies are also a commodity and have faced highly volatile valuations over the years. Below is a list of many of the more popular cryptocurrency deposit options.
BCH Gambling Sites
Litecoin Gambling SitesOnline Gambling Banking BankNon-US Payment MethodsOnline Gambling Banking Regulations
The rest of the world has had a much easier time with online gambling transactions. A lot of this, especially in Europe, comes from much stricter regulation of the industry, which has forced operators and payment processing companies to comply and be licensed to do business. Although the licensing process can be costly and cumbersome, once a site is licensed it’s going to be paying far less in processing fees than those taking action in the US.
Of course, there are many more currencies to worry about in regions like Europe, and that means that deposit options can also be tailored to a specific country. As you can see from the list below, there is no shortage of deposit methods available for online gamblers outside the US, and we have provided details on all of these.A Brief History of Depositing Money at Real Money Gambling Sites
Back in the 1990s, there was only one deposit method for players to choose from at online casinos and sportsbooks (that is all that existed back then, by the way). Credit cards were a product that most people had in their wallets, and since people were able to make electronic payments in retail locations (we had come a long way from the old physical machines that took a copy of your card details), taking that technology and porting it online was not as tough as you might think. The bigger challenge was convincing someone, who barely understood the internet, that sending this information into a black hole (now known as the cloud) was safe and secure.
Despite early pushback, the desire to gamble without going to a casino was stronger than the fear, and with that, the real money online gambling boom had begun. Players from all over the world were downloading casino software, or installing it from a CD, and connecting to the internet with their dial-up connection to make deposits and play. We won’t get into the challenges of playing on such slow connections (that’s for another page).
Credit card companies loved this new flood of transactions, with operators very willing to pay the fees that came along with them. However, some problems started to pop up – mainly fraudulent behavior. As the methods of verifying an account were nowhere as sophisticated as they are today, it was only too easy for someone who stole a card to create a casino account and use it to play online. Also, there was an issue of age verification – not having the right checks in place meant that children could take their parents’ cards and play without permission (and illegally, we might add). This resulted in a lot of chargebacks from cardholders, which did not please the credit card companies at all. Hp z600 ram slots. Rates started to skyrocket, while online gambling companies scrambled to find a solution to their verification process.
Of course, this also made it difficult for someone without a credit card to make a deposit at an online casino. Here is where the folks from PayPal stepped in. They created a safe and secure online banking system that was a peer-to-peer system. Once you created a PayPal account and verified your bank and personal details, you could send money to anyone with the click of a button without having to input your banking information again. The gaming industry ate this up, and before anyone realized what was happening, over 60% of all the online gambling transactions in the United States were being run through the PayPal system.
This all seemed too good to be true, and it was. PayPal was also being used almost exclusively for people to complete purchases on an online auction site called eBay (you may have heard of them), and so they decided to make an offer to purchase PayPal. However, in the terms of the agreement, the payment company would have to stop taking online gambling transactions. Within 60 days of the deal agreement, the online gambling world was once again scrambling to find alternative solutions.
Fortunately, the success of PayPal spurred significant development in the space, and e-wallet solutions like Neteller started to become viable options. Antigua guatemala casa santo domingo. The idea of giving your data to a company to create a more anonymous third-party digital wallet, then using that wallet to fund your gambling accounts (and for any other online payments) was catching on, and these companies started growing like a wildfire.UIGEA – The Game Changer
Everything was growing exponentially in the online gambling market, especially in the United States, where online poker had taken off and seemed to be everywhere. Unfortunately, the market in the US was unregulated, and many in the federal government were looking for ways to shut the industry down.
While there were never any laws added expressly making online gambling illegal, the government did figure out a way to choke off the supply of money flowing offshore. In October 2006, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was passed into law, making it illegal for US banks to process gambling transactions. This crippled the industry in the States, forcing many of the market leaders out of the space. While many stuck around and found ways to make it work (also for another page), it became clear that funding an online gambling account for Americans was going to be a cumbersome process. What to Look for When Finding a Deposit/Withdrawal Method
Ok, now that you have been brought up to speed on how payment processing came to be, let’s talk about the deposit methods you will find at an online gambling site. When you are researching sites, you can read our reviews and see a list of all the available processing options at any gambling site. However, as many of these are regional products (especially in Europe), you can also just head to the banking section of a website, where due to your geolocation, you will see the trimmed list of deposit methods available for you in your area.
Still, there could be dozens of potential processing solutions available to you. What makes one better than another? Well, here are three things you should think about when you are selecting a payment solution.Fees
This applies more on the withdrawal side, but it could also ding you when you are making a deposit at a site. Credit cards may charge you as a cash advance instead of a purchase, which will cost you more in interest. Also, many of the e-wallet companies charge you a small percentage when you fund your account. All of this adds up, especially when you are planning to try to make a return on your cash. Make sure to read all the terms and conditions when you are planning to choose a payment provider.Speed
Many e-wallet companies require a holding period to verify who you are before allowing you to use your new account to a make a deposit at a real-money gambling site. These delays can be a huge pain especially if you’re trying to make a time-sensitive sports bet. Look for the options that give you instant access to your account and funds so you can make your deposits easily.Online Gambling Banking OnlineSecurity
While you can never be sure which companies are going to be compromised by hackers, you can do some research to see which companies are the best prepared to handle it. With so many security breaches recently, you also want to find the companies that need the least amount of your personal information to create an account. If you are very concerned about this, you can always lean toward the pre-paid card options where you pay in cash for the anonymous account.Frequently Asked QuestionsOnline Gambling BingoDoes It Cost Anything to Make a Deposit at an Online Gambling Site?
Many sites will not charge you for making a deposit, even though they are being charged a fee by the processor themselves for the transaction (in some cases up to 14%). However, the deposit method you choose could very well be charging you for funding your account. Make sure you read up on the options you have in order to find the one that charges you the least, if anything at all.Online Gambling BannedIs Cryptocurrency Safe?
Safety is not the biggest concern with cryptocurrency – the decentralized solution is meant to make it the safest out there. However, cryptocurrency is tied to a digital wallet that has a number attached to it. Unlike a bank that can verify the number, if you lose your coin wallet details, then you can’t access the funds anymore. Also, the value of some of these coins rises and falls so much that you may end up losing money on a transaction before you even play a hand of blackjack at the casino with which you deposited.Online Gambling Banking LoginWhat Is a Chargeback?
When someone thinks their credit card has been used fraudulently, they can contact their card issuer and file a chargeback claim. This is investigated, and in the case of the early days of the online gambling world, the charge was typically reversed. This meant that someone could head to a site, lose money, then call to cancel their company claiming they never made the deposit in the first place. While there are many more safeguards to protect the credit card companies from this type of fraud, chargebacks do still occur for legitimate reasons, and this causes much concern for processing companies.

Do you love the casino scene?
Does being a casino dealer seem like the perfect blend of glamour, excitement, and fun?
At first glance, being a dealer at a casino might seem like the perfect job. After all, you probably already enjoy the games you’ll be playing. And you will be getting paid to play them.
You don’t even have to risk losing any money while you play. The casino is banking all the action.
As a casino dealer, the amount you win for the house has no bearing on your pay, though. You get an hourly wage plus tips.
Compared to some jobs, being a casino dealer might be a great deal. As casino gambling continues to grow across the nation, more jobs become available, and fewer potential employees are out there to fill those jobs. This means wages are climbing, too.
This post examines how much you can expect to make as a casino dealer, tips and all. What Is the Average Wage for a Casino Dealer?
Your average wage as a casino dealer isn’t impressive at all. It’s a service industry, so when you calculate how much you’ll make, you need to take the same kind of mindset that waitresses and bartenders take:
How much money you make is based more on tips than on your hourly wage.
And the better you serve your customers, the more they’ll tip.
In other words, if you’re not a people person, becoming a casino dealer might not be a great idea.
The hourly wages for casino dealers don’t vary based on the game, either. Blackjack dealers make the same kind of money as baccarat dealers, who make the same kind of money as poker dealers or roulette dealers (or croupiers, as they’re called).
The starting pay for an average casino dealer is between $8 and $10 per hour. Some of that is based on experience, too.
If you’re able to get 40 hours a week, which is unusual, you’re looking at $16,000 to $20,000 per year. Most casino dealers, especially starting out, don’t get 40 hours a week, though.
That’s barely enough to pay the rent if you have a roommate and live in a cheap apartment.Luckily, you’ll make more money from gamblers’ tips.
Depending on the casino and the stakes of the games you’re dealing, you can expect to make anywhere from $15 per hour in tips to $50 per hour in tips, on average.
That $50 per hour figure, by the way, is an outlier statistic. This assumes you’re working at a high-end casino dealing the higher-limit casino games to the high rollers.
Even then, some high rollers don’t tip — or if they tip, they don’t tip well at all.
Poker dealers make the most money from tips on the most consistent basis, but a lot of this depends on people skills. In some casinos, the dealers are required to pool their tips.
I once played at a casino in Las Vegas with an older poker dealer named Boris. He got mad at me for saying the words “Carpe diem” at the table. He said that I was only allowed to speak English at the table.
Being a friendly guy, I smiled and explained to everyone at the table that the phrase is Latin for “seize the day.”
Boris didn’t think that was helpful, either. He was surly and rude.
As a result, I didn’t tip him.
I shared the story with a professional poker player friend of mine, and he told me that he would have raised hell with the cardroom manager until Boris had been fired.
And the thing is… I don’t mind a little correction. In fact, I’m a humble guy. Had he been reasonably friendly and polite about it, I would have continued to tip him. So it goes.
Also, just because you’re dealing a higher-stakes poker game doesn’t mean you’ll make more in tips. Some of the high-rolling poker players are notorious cheapskates. If you’re dealing high-roller blackjack, craps, or roulette, you’ll do a lot better than if you’re dealing high-limit hold’em.
According to Glassdoor, the average wages for dealers and related jobs are all over the place. They suggest that the average dealer makes $40,000 a year. They also suggest that an average poker dealer only makes $20,000 a year.
Other related jobs include the floor supervisor, with an average salary of $53,000 a year, a casino host, with an average salary of $35,000 a year, and a casino shift manager, with an average salary of $27,000 a year.
The site also lists salaries by company, and it looks like Caesars is the best place to be a dealer, with a salary of $42,000.
Indeed.com has more survey results and suggests an average of $15/hour, which equates to $30,000 a year. They had a listing for a dealer position in Black Hawk, Colorado, where the starting pay was $38/hour. That’s $76,000 a year.
ZipRecruiter suggests that top dealers make $400,000 a year, but I can’t imagine that’s accurate. The rest of their averages are in line with what I saw on the other sites mentioned. The Perks and Drawbacks of Being a Casino Dealer as a Career
If you know anything about the service business, you probably know that dealing with the customers can be the biggest perk and the biggest drawback to your job. This is especially true in the casino business, though, because emotions tend to be amped up when money is on the line.
You’ll probably spend a lot of time on your feet if you’re dealing table games in the casino. If you’re dealing poker in the cardroom, you’ll probably need to bring a pillow for some extra cushioning at your chair.
One of the other drawbacks of being a casino dealer is that it turns what used to be a leisure activity into a work activity. Playing blackjack is great when you get to do it a couple of times a year for a few hours at a time.
But after dealing blackjack for 30 hours a week for six weeks straight, it becomes drudgery.
In most casinos, smoking is still allowed. That might or might not bother you. I’ve spent enough time in bars and AA meetings that cigarette smoke doesn’t bother me at all, but I’m not like most people.
One of the perks of dealing casino games is that it doesn’t require a degree. You can go to a vocational school to become a dealer, though, but the time and financial commitments are smaller than with other careers. You can usually be qualified to be a casino dealer after a couple of months and an investment of $1,000.
If you’re a night owl, or if you’re looking for a second job — we used to call it “moonlighting” — casino dealing might be perfect for you. After all, most casinos are open 24/7. And guess which shifts are the hardest ones for the managers to cover.
Most casinos are owned by large companies with human resources departments. This means that you’ll probably be eligible for a benefits package. These can include health insurance and retirement benefits, as well as paid time off.
Breaks are longer for casino dealers than you’ll see at other jobs. At most casinos, you work for 90 minutes and then take a 30-minute break. During an eight-hour shift, you get a total of two hours of break time.
If you like having stories to tell, being a casino dealer puts you in a position to have lots of anecdotes. Heck, I have quite a reputation as a raconteur just from the stories I have to tell by being a player. And believe me, I haven’t spent THAT much time gambling in casinos — not compared to someone who deals for a living, anyway. What Are Your Job Responsibilities as a Casino Dealer?
Think of the dealer as the host for a specific game. The dealer shuffles and deals the cards, or spins the roulette wheel, or directs the action at the craps table. The dealer also trades chips for money.
If you’re a poker dealer, you’re responsible for collecting the rake. It’s your job to make sure the players post their blinds.
If you’re dealing a casino game, you collect the players’ losses and pay out their winnings in chips.
It’s traditional to start your career dealing blackjack because that’s the most popular table game. Best poker glasses.
But in Europe, it’s more likely that you’ll start as a croupier — that’s the fancy name for the dealer running the roulette game.
The dice table is the toughest table game to be a dealer. Even after writing about craps for years, I still have to look things up. The action is fast, there are lots of bets on the table, and there’s just a lot to keep up with. Craps is the last game most dealers learn.
You’re responsible for maintaining your own gambling license, too. It’s similar to having a driver’s license if you’re going to drive for a company or a food handler’s permit if you’re going to cook for people.
If you have lousy credit and/or a criminal record, you might run into trouble getting your license.
By the way, I have a lady friend who dealt blackjack for years. She’s clueless when it comes to basic strategy. You’re not required to learn the correct strategies for the games you deal.
My advice to prospective dealers is to avoid giving advice to players. That’s a no-win situation because the players are going to lose their money in the long run because of the nature of the games. If they followed your advice, they’ll just blame you for this.
Who needs that kind of headache? Conclusion
If you like people, enjoy casino games, and don’t mind cigarette smoke, becoming a casino dealer might be the career for you. You don’t get to keep the money the players lose, but they’ll often tip you when they’re winning, so you’ll get to root for them.
You’ll make at least $15,000 a year dealing casino games, but you might make as much as $100,000 a year. I’ve seen reports of dealers who made more, but I’m skeptical, and you should be, too. Please enable JavaScript to view the comments powered by Disqus.
Undoubtedly, every casino enthusiast has seen live casino dealers – they look flawless in extreme close-ups and seem as happy as a jackpot-winner. On top of that, the job of live dealers does not seem to involve anything beyond playing casino games.
Without a doubt, live dealers’ job seems like the perfect one, but is it really so? Is it really enough to like casino games and look flawless from all angles to be a live casino dealer? To find out, read the report on live dealer games from CasinoGamesPro.com. Responsibilities of live casino dealers
Before focusing on the advantages and disadvantages of being a live dealer, let us pay attention to the responsibilities of live dealer casinos. Contrary to common belief, looking good and liking casino games does not make for a good casino croupier. Apart from this, dealers should also be friendly and incredibly polite in order to make clients comfortable.
Another thing to take into account is that live dealers must be dedicated to entertaining people. But that is not all – live dealers should be able to focus on the game regardless of any distractions. Furthermore, live dealers should be able to handle stress appropriately.
Last, but not least, live dealers should be sociable. So, if you are an introvert, you might want to avoid this industry. Pros of being a live casino dealer
One of the main advantages of being a live casino dealer is that the job does not require as much maths skills – with live casinos, it is the computer that does the math and not the dealer. Secondly, live dealers boast a very high income – it is common for a dealer to make more than $100,000 a year at a reputable casino.
It should also be noted that being a live casino dealer requires minimum education. Believe it or not, croupiers are trained in just a week or two. What is more, live dealers who are a part of a big and reputable casino get incredible benefits. Most high-quality casinos offer their personnel medical benefits, bonuses, etc. Some establishments go as far as offer tuition reimbursement for college classes, related to the casino industry.
Additionally, most live casinos work 24 hours 7 days a week, which allows live dealers to work any shift they like. On top of that, taking time off tends to be very easy.
Finally, live dealers can get tips, which is a great advantage. If you have played at a live casino, you undoubtedly know that players can elect tips to the live dealer, just like at a brick-and-mortar establishment. Further, as you might know, a dealer’s pay relies heavily on tips, so it is always advantageous to work hard and earn higher tips. Cons of being a live dealer
Of course, being a live casino dealer is not a bed of roses – if it was, everyone would want to be a live dealer. So, what are the disadvantages of being a live dealer?Casino Card Dealers Salary
To begin with, live dealers (and all other types of dealers) usually have to start with a minimum salary. But do not expect that salary to rise that much over time – as mentioned above, a dealer’s pay relies heavily on tips (about 50 to 80% of a dealer’s salary is based on tips).
Second of all, in order to work as a live casino dealer, you will probably have to take a croupier training course, which will not be paid by the casino. Croupier training courses’ fees usually amount to about $500 for blackjack; if you want to learn a more complicated game like roulette, you will have to pay more.
Croupier training courses’ fees usually amount to about $500 for blackjack and before you chuck in your hard earned cash you should check out what the job actually entails by watching some gameplay at these live dealer blackjack sites
Believe it or not, some countries will not allow you to become a live dealer unless you have a license. In countries like the UK, for example, croupiers need to hold a license from the UK Gambling Commission. Again, you will probably have to pay for that license by yourself.Casino Dealer Salary Las Vegas
In addition, being a live dealer requires flawless appearance – as mentioned, live dealers have to good look from all angles, even in extreme close-ups.

I would like to start a discussion of favorite table positions, and your reasons for choosing the position. It may be you are just comfortable, where you first began shooting from, or because it’s a shorter distance. For that matter it may be any reason, left or right handed et cetera.
I of course invite the Irishsetter, Heavy, Professor and the rest of the group to jump right in and let us know what positions he or she prefers to shoot from and maybe some the reasons why.
Although you don’t have to use this terminology I will start with designations of the positions as SL1 (stick left immediate) SL2 (two out), SL3 (hook), SL4 & SL5 (ends of the table) and the SR1, SR2 et cetera.
I have already thrown out some of the reasons why, all you have to do is let us know the details to your preferences.

Favorite position? I just came up with an idea for a book! The Kama Sutra of Craps!
Anyway, I prefer SL1 and 2 or SR1 and 2. Love the short distance, generally like to chat up the stick a bit before I shoot. On the other hand, I practice for other positions. For instance I throw a 3 fingered, top, diagonal grip if I’m on a long table or throwing straight out. I don’t like the idea of limiting my opportunities to shoot, because ’my spot’ is unavailable. Even out of position, I’m a better shooter than the chicken feeders...
roadrunner
I am right handed and my Favorite positions (best hands from)are L1, L2 and R1.
I have had some good hands from the ends (L4 R4). But it is harder to run a mile than 100 yards. I don’t shoot from those positions anymore.
Crowding the stickman sometimes becomes a problem at L1 and R1 but can generally be overcome with a dealer bet or two or just some good conversation.
shootitall
If it is a 12’ table, makes little difference, ends are fine also. On longer tables, S 1 or 2 is fine, makes no difference r or l. IF I am in the dp/dc mood, I like the dl position and not shoot. However there is one position I detest, that is square in the hook. That throws off my thinking, my playing, my attitude because the table just doesn’t ’fit’.

As long as I’m on top I don’t care what...Oh, Oh, no wait.....Oh yeah, Um My best results, as a righty, come from SR2.5 And my game has grown to the point where I actually look forward to throwing from SL4 which used to give me the willies. I wish I could do better from SR1 but its too close for my throw or my head!? It seems that I can’t get the dice on axis when I try and throw them with the softness that that position calls for. As I move away from the wall the distance helps deplete some of the energy in the toss and I can really get them on axis from that farther distance. In any event, the key is definitely to be able to throw from at least two positions to be a better player and to give yourself more opportunities to ’Get in the Game.’
KRUE
Straight out is the best position for me . I’ve tried shooting from the other positions , but shooting straight out from the ends of the table works best for me .
I always look for empty tables so I can get the dice quickly. If my favorite spot isnt available then I wont play there . So its off to the next casino in search of my favorite spot.
I rarely risk my money on other shooters .. but if i see the tables is hot then I wont hesitate to squeeze in and play anywhere,as long as Im in the game.Craps Table Dice Stick
Dominator
I am a firm beleiver that it is very hrd to become good at 1 or 2 positions let alone all of them. SL 1 or 2 , or SR 1 or 2 is where I play from, and I will only play at postion 2 if position 1 is occupied by a friend of mine that can move away so I can get closer to position 1 by creeping up. End if table is a position I will not shoot from. When you add this added distance to the error factor it is multiplied. I know that sometimes the tables are crowded and you have driven 2 hours to get to your local casino, but when this happens I will just wait it out. Almost all of the time I will get my spot in 30 minutes or so. I will look at all the tables and see what player has the least amount of chips in their rack and just stand there and wait. I want all the advantage I can get when I am investing my hard earned money.
FullOfCraps
SR1 or SR2 has to be my best position, i’m not sure if i throw correctly, so i tend to stay closer, i feel i can get more control and have a softer landing this way, it is also easier to keep the dice on axis.

Well, a lot of this has to do with table conditions. How long is the table? What is the condition of the layout? Are there any dead spots? How many other players are there? What are their table positions and what is there betting action? Let’s start at the top.
On a 14 foot table I like the first position left of stick. That puts me shooting from about 8 - 10 feet out. On a 12 foot table I also like the first position stick left - however I slide a half step to the left and ’spread out’ so I’m still shooting from 8-10 feet out. Alright - this is the length I pitch from in practice most often - so I go for that range - despite the table position.
Second favorite position is stick right - from the same distances for the same reasons.
Third favorite is straight out on a 12 - 14 footer. I use a different pre-set and grip from this distance and put more backspin on the dice. I had several HUGE hands in Vegas last trip from straight out. Even conservative betting old Long Arm made money on one of them.
Last on the list - dealer first or the hook - I’m not crazy about this spot but I’ll shoot from it if I have to - shooting diagonally into the opposite corner. I’ve had some very good hands at this position shooting the crossed sixes. I recall one hand throwing maybe a dozen fives in twenty or so rolls - that was huge.
The condition of the layout is important in determining playing position. Some layouts are bouncier than others - so I prefer to cut down the length of the toss on those. If there are dead spots those work better on longer length tables.
Obviously, I’d prefer not to be shooting into a bunch of player action - so if the north end of the table is loaded and the south end is empty - I’m likely to join the boys on the north end so I can shoot at the empty end. Likewise - I try to avoid shooting into the corner when there’s a big don’t player present. Not concerned about him so much as some of those big lay bets they put out there. Again, it’s that chips on the layout thing I’m trying to avoid.
Guys - if you do not practice at a variety of positions you are cutting yourself short when you get to the casino. Still - if you will pick a specific distance to practice from - then step off that distance at the tables when you get to the casinos and choose your shooting position - this is much less of a concern.

Engineer
Everyone’s view points are quit interesting.
I can see the shooting position is a very personal thing among craps shooters. With precision shooting control and accuracy from the closest position possible is probably recommended for the softest delivery for the controlled throw. The distance itself would cut down on the velocity necessary to find your target with a soft throw.
If one or two particular positions are much more beneficial for the shooter (I know that this can be true on the extra long 14’ tables) it may wise to add the “Wait until your position is available.” rule to your discipline.
If you’ve reached this point in your development as a Controlled Shooter, then you understand that even slight variations in your grip, backspin, alignment, etc., will result in potentially dramatic differences in the results you achieve.
Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way, that the table position you select can also have a dramatic impact on the success of your controlled throws.
LET ME EXPLAIN
After practicing a controlled toss for several months, I had gotten to the point where my dice were symmetrically traveling through the air with a controlled backspin, the dice were landing softly on my target zone, touching the diamonds lightly and I was achieving pretty solid results staying on-axis and avoiding the seven.
While I realized there was still a lot of work to do in perfecting my throw, it was time to bring my newly learned skill to the casino and try it out.
Most dice coaches recommend that, depending on your toss style, you select either spot #1 or #2 to the right or left of the stick at the craps table. By selecting either the #1 or #2 spot, it gives you a much shorter distance to backwall with the thought that, the less distance you deal with, the more control you will have with the dice.
There is a lot of merit to that thought process, and since I was tossing right to left, I selected ‘R1’ and waited my turn with the dice. When the dice were slid to me, I quickly set them, gripped and tossed just like I had practiced.
Instead of landing softly and lightly touching the diamonds, my dice were hitting the target zone squarely, but then launching into the diamonds which caused the dice to scatter all over the table and produce completely random results.
Extremely disappointed, I went back to my practice layout, tossed the dice, and everything seemed to work fine. Disappointment turned to confusion and it wasn’t until two days later that the solution dawned on me.
The craps table at the casino was a 12 foot table, which means the inside of the table, after accounting for the rails, is just over 11 feet. The stick then, is at 5 ½ feet, so I was throwing from about 6 ½ feet. When I checked my practice area, I was practicing from just over 8 feet. The extra 1 ½ feet in my practice area required more energy to deliver the dice to the backwall than at the casino. That additional energy in my throw caused the dice to launch into the diamonds instead touching them lightly on the shorter table.
A VERY DIFFERENT APPROACH TO TABLE POSITION
I now personally use, and coach others, on a very different approach to table position than the general advice that’s out there. It still involves keeping the distance of your throw as short as possible to maintain the greatest level of control, but it eliminates the need to alter your throw from table to table.
While you can find smaller tables, most craps tables are 12 or 14 feet long, and you’re now beginning to see some 16 foot craps tables is some casinos.
As you can see from the tables above, there is a big difference in the ‘R1’ or ‘L1’ distance between 12, 14 and 16 foot tables.
Every craps table at the casino has its own variables you’ll need to account for and potentially adjust your toss for;
*Bounciness of the table
*Type of cloth used on the table top
*Hardness of the back wall diamonds, and
*Sharpness of the dice edges
KEYS TO SUCCESS
Our goal is to eliminate distance as a variable and allow you to focus on the slight variations needed for the above conditions.
*Research the casinos that you’ll be playing at, and what size tables they have
*Ex: You play at 3 casinos that employ both 12 and 14 foot craps tables
*Identify the shortest table position that accommodates the craps tables you’ll play
*In the example above, using 12 and 14 foot tables, ‘R1’ and ‘L1’ on the 14 foot table would accommodate both
*Set up your practice area to mimic the distance you’ve determined in step #2
*A 14 foot table is approximately 13 feet from rubber to rubber
*The stick would then be approximately at 6 ½ feet
*‘R1’ and ‘L1’ would be approximately 7 ½ to 8 feet from the opposite diamonds
*Set your practice area to toss from 7 ½ to 8 feet from your landing zone
*Regardless of the length of the craps table at the casino, position yourself 7 ½ to 8 feet from the opposite diamonds
*On a 14 foot table, that will be ‘R1’ or ‘L1’
*Ona 12 foot table, that will likely be ‘R2’ or ‘L2’Craps Table Dice Sticks
In the above example, if your preferred position is at the ends of the tables, then you’ll need to set up practice distances of both 11 and 13 feet to accommodate both.
You should find this as helpful as our students have, at creating parity and consistency between your ‘at home’ practice sessions and the live conditions at the casino.

The next time you visit your favorite casino, keep these five gambling tips and strategies in mind. If you win some money along the way, consider it a bonus. Smart gamblers know their primary objective is to have fun. That’s because the casino—or house—almost always has the edge. Still, it is possible to increase your odds of snagging a.
*The best way to win money at a casino is to play smart. Don’t play $10 slot spins if you’re on a $50 budget because you’ll run out of money before you barely started. Instead play small $1 spins to.
*The Best Slots Strategy When it comes to playing slot machines there are many different strategies that you can use to win. Your number one rule before putting any money into a slot machine whether it is online or in a casino should be not to gamble more than you can afford.
*Every ardent casino player is always looking for the best strategy that will increase his or her chances of winning. In search of the shortcut to riches, many players flock on websites looking for the best strategies that will help them beat casinos.on
A strategy is an approach to an activity that might help you achieve your goals. It’s good to know the difference between strategy and tactics when it comes to casino gambling. I’ve tried to keep that difference in mind while putting together this list of the 10 best casino gambling strategy tips ever.
If you’re new to casino gambling, don’t just show up at the casino and start putting down money. You’ll lose cash faster than you ever thought possible. You’ll also not understand what’s going on, which means you won’t even get to have a fair amount of fun in exchange for your money.
Your best bet as a new casino gambler is to study some information about how casino gambling works before you ever set foot in the casino.
This post is a good starting point.1 – Understand Your Goals
You can’t have a strategy for anything until you understand what your goals are. For most casino gamblers (95+), the goal is to just have some light-hearted fun and maybe win a little money in the short term. You might like the excitement of competing for a huge jackpot, or you might enjoy the challenge of getting the best odds possible playing blackjack.
Understanding your goals starts with understanding your own personality. Are you a social gambler? Do you want to chat with other people while you’re gambling? Or are you an introvert who prefers to not be bothered during your gambling activities?
Will you be satisfied with a small win here and there? Or are you willing to risk lots of losing sessions if there’s a lot of upside?
Are you an adrenaline junkie? Do you prefer laid back, relaxing activities? Do you care whether your decisions matter to your odds?
Your choice of casino game will depend largely on these factors:
*Blackjack is a great game for people who want their decisions to matter. But you’re unlikely to win a huge jackpot while playing blackjack.
*Craps is a great game for sociable gamblers who get off on adrenaline. For my money, it’s the best game in the casino, even though it doesn’t have a skill element.
*Roulette is a great game for people who are looking for something more slow-paced and relaxed. It also requires no skill, and you only need to be sociable if you want to be.
*Slot machines are good for introverts who want to go after a big jackpot. The house edge for such games is high, though. And you’ll lose more money per hour on slot machines than any other casino game.
*Video poker has many of the advantages of slot machines, but these games include a skill element to go along with their much lower house edge.2 – Learn How the House Edge Works
You’ve probably noticed that I’ve mentioned the expression “house edge” a couple of times now. If you want to make educated decisions as a casino gambler, you need to understand how the house edge works.
The house edge is a mathematical prediction of how much you’ll lose on average per bet. It’s expressed as a percentage. If a game has a 1% house edge, the odds are that you’ll eventually lose about $1 for every $100 bet you place on that game. If it has a 5% house edge, then you’re looking at an average $5 loss per $100 in action.
All casino games have a house edge. None of the bets offer you true even odds with the casino (with the exception of the odds bet in craps). This edge happens because of the discrepancy between your payoffs and the odds of winning.
Craps is a good example. A hard way bet on 8, for example, has 10 to 1 odds of winning. On average, you’ll lose 10 times for every time you win.
But the bet only pays off at 9 to 1 odds.
The difference is where the house edge comes from. And it’s usually easy to translate this into a percentage.
If you bet $100 on 11 rolls of the dice, you’d win that bet once for $900. You’d lose the other 10 times, for $1000 in losses. That’s a net loss of $1000 – $900, or $100.
You divided $100 by 11 to find out how much you lose on average per roll. That’s $9.09.
Since we assumed $100 for our bet sizes, this means the house edge is 9.09%.
That’s relatively high, by the way. Most bets on table games have a significantly lower house edge than that. Even roulette has a house edge of only 5.26%.3 – Manage Your Casino Gambling Bankroll
Bankroll management is easier than it sounds. Some people act like it’s the end-all, be-all of casino gambling strategy. In a sense, that’s true, too. If you gamble with money you can’t afford to lose, you’re doomed.
So there’s your first rule of casino bankroll management—set aside money for gambling that you don’t need for any other purpose. Don’t use it for any other purpose, either. This is money set aside for your gambling hobby. It’s not there to pay for buffets or tickets to a show.
You should have separate budgets for those other entertainment interests, anyway.
Why is this important?
You want to take a disciplined approach to your gambling. This means having rules that you don’t break.
You should also make sure you have enough money to get a reasonable amount of action at the games you want to play. Here are some guidelines for how many bets you need of a certain size for a trip to the casino where you’re going to do a lot of gambling:
*Blackjack –700–800 units
*Craps – 100—200 units
*Roulette—10—20 units
Of course, you can change these guidelines based on what games you prefer to play. I think the high house edge at roulette means it should be an occasional indulgence, hence the small suggested bankroll. Craps, on the other hand, is always worth a shot because of the chance of getting on a hot streak.
And of course, smart gamblers should spend most of their time playing at the blackjack tables because the odds for the player are so much better with that game than any other.4 – Quit While You’re Ahead
You’ll find plenty of money management advice about stop loss limits and win goals. You should always remember that these kinds of arbitrary stopping points in your gambling do nothing to improve your probability of winning.
In fact, with a game where the house has an edge over you, the appropriate sized bankroll is infinite.
But if you want to walk away a winner one in a while, you should set a win goal that signals you when it’s time to quit. Depending on the size of your bankroll, this win goal might be small.
I played video poker one night and wound up winning about $40 in 15 minutes. My win goal was to double that $40 at the roulette table, and I thought since it was “house money,” I’d just bet it on black. I won and walked away from the table. I was with my dad, and he seemed impressed.
He shouldn’t have been, though, for 2 reasons:
*That wasn’t the house’s money anymore. Once you win it, it’s your money. Gambling away all your winnings because you think the money doesn’t really belong to you is just foolish.
*I wagered that money on some of the worst odds in the casino. I’d have been far better off putting it on a hand of blackjack or even a roll of the dice at the craps table.5 – Leave Your Superstitions Behind
“I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.”
-Michael Scott, The Office
If people’s hunches had any bearing on how games of chance played out, the casinos would go out of business—especially with the large number of so-called psychics in business today. Understand that casino gambling is a game of math and random chance. Don’t be superstitious. Your lucky ballcap has no effect on the outcomes at the roulette wheel.
The probability of winning an even-money bet on a standard American roulette wheel is always the same. There are 38 possible outcomes, and 18 of them are winning outcomes. The probability that you’ll win that bet is 18/38, which is the same thing as 9/19, which is also the same thing as 47.37%.
That number doesn’t change based on what happened on the previous spin, your gut feeling, or whether you use your left or right hand to place the bet on the table.
Any superstition you have about luck or winning at gambling should be discarded in favor of reality immediately.
If you want to win at casino gambling, find a way to get a mathematical edge over the house.6 – Avoid the Slot Machines
The worst games in any casino are the slot machines. They have a higher house edge than any other game. They also encourage you (in dramatic fashion) to place more bets per hour than any other game. Look at the expected hourly loss for an average slot machine player:
The house edge is probably 8%–although we don’t really know what the house edge. (This is the only game in the casino where you cannot calculate the house edge.)
The number of bets per hour for the average player is 600 spins per hour.
Assume you’re betting $3/spin, and you’re putting $1800 per hour into action. If you expect to lose 8% of that, your expected hourly loss is $144.
Now let’s look at roulette, which has a house edge of 5.26%. The average number of bets you’ll place per hour at a roulette table is 100 or so, and that’s at a table that’s not busy. At a busy roulette table, you might be lucky to place 60 bets per hour.
If you’re betting $5 per spin, that’s $500 in action per hour. With a house edge of 5.26%, your expected hourly loss is only $26.30.
That’s a huge difference, and you might find that you enjoy roulette more than slot machines anyway.
Of course, the truly savvy gamblers will play blackjack and use perfect basic strategy while they do so. This reduces their house edge to just 1%. At a slow blackjack table, where you’re the only player, you’ll probably see 200 hands per hour. At $5 per hand, that’s $1000/hour in action. With a 1% house edge, you’re expected to lose $10/hour.
Finally, keep this in mind:
The house edge on slot machines might be higher than 8%. That’s just an example. Some games have a house edge of 12%, 16%, or 20%+.
Your expected hourly loss on those machines, respectively, is $216, $288, and $360.7 – Develop Your Powers of Discernment
Some casino games offer better odds than others. Some casino games offer multiple bets, and usually, some of those bets are better than others. It’s your job as an intelligent gambler to be able to discern between good games and bad games, and to discern between good bets and bad bets.
American roulette has a house edge of 5.26%, but you can play European style roulette with a house edge of 2.70%–often at the same casino. You just need to be able to discern the difference between the 2 games.
Craps offers bets with a house edge as low as 1.41%, but it also offers bets with a house edge as high as 16.67%. You should know which bets offer reasonable or better odds and which bets offer outrageous odds.
Blackjack comes with multiple rules variations, but the biggest is the payout for a “natural.” The standard payout for a 2-card hand totaling 21 is 3 to 2. But some casinos offer a 6 to 5 payout on this hand.
And with their usual chutzpah, the casinos try to make this sound like a good deal. But if you place a $100 bet, the payout at a 3 to 2 game is $150, compared to a payout of $120 on the same bet at a 6 to 5 table.
This requires a little bit of study before visiting the casino, but frankly, it doesn’t require much.8 – Ask for and Get the Comps You Deserve
Some people eschew the players club card. That’s a mistake. The players club card is the tool the casino uses to award you rebates and comps.
Of course, the most basic comps at most casinos is the free drink. You don’t need a players club for that.
But for all the other perks that gamblers get in exchange for their action, you need to be a member of the club. You also need to use your membership card when you’re playing.
These perks can include cash rebates, travel benefits, free hotel stays, free meals, and free show tickets.
Why do people turn down the players club card?
A lot of players are superstitious slot machine players who think that the game’s odds change when you insert the players club card.
That’s a fallacy for multiple reasons:
*The casino has no incentive to change the odds on their slots games. They WANT you to play more. Giving you comps is how they accomplish this goal.
*The casino knows that the best correlation to their profits is the time spent on their machines. If they can get you to spend more time on the machines trying to move up a notch on the players club hierarchy, they’re going to do it.
*The random number generator and the payouts are what determine the payback percentage and house edge for a slot machine. The players club card doesn’t do anything for you besides track how many bets you make and at what amounts. The 2 mechanisms are entirely separate.
Most people can’t get an edge over the casino by taking advantage of the comps available. But some people (so-called “comp wizards”) do. Read Comp City by Max Rubin for an example of that kind of mindset. Hopa slots spam email settings.9 – Learn Basic Strategy in Blackjack (And Maybe Learn to Count Cards, Too)
If you can play blackjack with perfect basic strategy, the house edge is between 0.5% and 1% at most casinos. If you just play your hunches or try to use your “card sense” to make decisions, the house edge is probably closer to 4% or 5%.
What’s basic strategy?
It’s the mathematically optimal play in every possible situation at the blackjack table. It factors in your total and the dealer’s face-up card to choose the decision that will have the highest expected value for the player. You can get a basic strategy chart in any casino gift shop.
NEVER deviate from basic strategy unless you’re counting cards and the results of that count indicate a change in strategy.
Which brings me to point #2 in this tip:
You can and should learn how to count cards in blackjack.
It’s easier than you think.
Counting cards has less to do with memorizing the deck than it does paying attention to the cards and adding 1 or subtracting 1 from a number in your head. As the big cards (the 10s and aces) get dealt, the probability of being dealt a blackjack goes down. As the small cards (the 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 6s) get dealt, the probability of being dealt a blackjack goes up.
Since a blackjack pays off at 3 to 2, you want to raise the size of your bets when your probability of getting that hand improves. You want to lower the size of your bets at other times.
To keep up with this ratio, all you do is add 1 to the count every time you see a small card and subtract 1 from the count every time you see a big card. A lot of hands will cancel each other out by having a small card and a large card in the same hand.
Then just raise your bet corresponding to how high the count is.
There’s a little more to it than this, but not much.
Becoming an expert blackjack player can lead to a lot of entertainment at the casino at a very low price. You might even be able to get an edge over the casino and become a long-term winner.10 – Learn to Play Video Poker
Video poker is a FAR better game than slot machines, even though the games resemble each other a lot. You’ll need your discernment skills again, though, because not every video poker game offers the same odds.
If you learn how to spot the “full-pay” video poker games, you can get the house edge to less than 0.5% at video poker. Of course, you also must be able to choose the optimal holding and discarding decisions on each hand.
Best of all, you can use your slot machine club card to get rebates on the money you’re wagering. Conclusion
Don’t go into the casino without a plan—especially if you’re a beginner to casino gambling. Instead, go in with a strategy.
This means having a bankroll along with a plan for managing that bankroll. It also means learning to choose the right games for your personality. Being able to choose the right bets at the right games to minimize your losses compared to the time you play is also a crucial skill.
Your best bet in the casino is to learn how to play blackjack and/or video poker at an expert level. You can get the house edge well below 1% at either of those games. If you want to learn card counting, you can even get an edge over the casino.
And that’s a worthwhile goal for any casino gambling strategist. Please enable JavaScript to view the comments powered by Disqus.
Drumroll drawings. Tricked-out trucks. Cash tornadoes. Pulling off a successful casino promotion is harder than it may seem. Here are 15 tips, tricks, and ideas to get you there, without breaking the bank. (Unless, of course, Break the Bank is your promotion of choice.)

1. Start with planning.
Let’s start with the elephant in the room. It’s definitely more fun to think about what kind of game show briefcase you’ll use in that Deal-eo or No Deal-eo promo, or how the balloons will drop on the new car, but if your casino promotion idea is going to be successful, you need to set the fun aside and first ask yourself this: what, exactly, am I trying to do? Acquire new guests? Reward loyal guests? Increase guest spending? Increase visits? Once you settle on your goals, things get much easier.
A good marketing calendar has balance, a mixture of mass and targeted promotions. Sometimes the goal is to see a big bump in revenue; other times the goal is to boost a certain demographic or daypart. Targeted promotions can also elbow their way in front of the competition. (See #4.)
One other thing: Do not start with how much you should — or have to — spend. Expense should be planned in line with potential revenue, and you’re not going to know that until you define what you’re trying to achieve.

2. Determine how you’ll measure success.
You’ll need to know what “success” means in order to achieve it. This may sound like a “duh,” but it can get a bit tricky. Be sure to isolate your base business, as sometimes traffic isn’t driven by promotions. And in addition to traditional ROI calculations, you may want to check in on other less-obvious factors like customer satisfaction or conversion. Be sure to define how you’ll measure those in advance.

Poker Aquarium

Placement: Mount the Poker Star Montipora coral using IC gel glue, or putty, on an exposed rock or ledge in the aquarium where it will receive direct flow and light. Poker Star Montipora coral will encrust the rock and makes a great accent coral. Play Pocket Aquarium on PC and Mac with BlueStacks and help your fish have peace by fighting the aliens who try to eat them. Go through a thrilling adventure mode and use all the resources you can put your hands in in order to guarantee peace and tranquility to your pets. Position is key in poker but it’s quite a tricky concept to grasp when you’re starting off. So here are the basics; look out for people who consistently limp in under the gun and then call a raise only to check and fold to any bet on the flop. And look out for people who don’t use the button to bet and steal the blinds.
Right next to the bar and parking. Only thing I don’t like is the bathrooms are a decent walk away. There is a half wall surrounding the room so there are always onlookers checking out the games. The chairs are comfortable enough to sit for hours and there is ample elbow/leg room as well. There is a deli not too far away serving food as well as Lucky’s Cafe which is 24 hour. I have only had to wait longer than 5 minutes or so for a seat one time when a tournament was running and there weren’t enough dealers to form a cash game. There doesn’t seem to be a steady number of players every week. Some Wednesdays the 9am tourney has 60 players and one time it only had 22. Same thing with the cash games. 2-4 limit and 1-2 no limit seem to be the only games really going. I have only seen 3-6 limit once and 2-5 no limit once.
Most of the players are so bad they are good. Don’t plan on having consistent sessions here, even playing good poker. I have made over $300 in one session playing 2/4 and I have also lost $300 in one session. However, if you can get through the bad beats, you will end up on top in the long run and make money easy. The problem is there are so many players who will play everything to the river that if there is a backdoor possibility, someone probably hit it. Many players make fundamental errors as well, such as not raising with the nuts. The no limit table is a joke. Everyone plays any two cards and overplays them horribly. Often there is way too much money on the table for the stakes. I have seen a $1400 heads up pot in 1-2 when the max buyin is $200 that’s how agressive and how often players at the table have rebought. Overall, if you play mathematically sound poker and have the discipline to endure the bad beats and fold your monsters when your beat, you will make a lot of money here.
Most of the dealers started green, but the majority of them have it together. The dealers were locked in to their tables one time due to a staff shortage and Derek dealt our table for 4 hours straight and didn’t make a single mistake. On the other hand, there is another dealer who had lost the dealer button on his table: someone put it in their pocket and walked away with it. The majority of the dealer mistakes occur when players try to do the dealers job and get in the way, which is unfortunate.
Were the cocktail waitresses attractive? Most of them are knockouts. I do not understand how anyone can get bad beverage service here. Personally, I rarely tip only $1 since the drinks are free anyways. I usually tip $2-4 per drink and never have to wait. If you order your first drink and tip well right after you order, they will take care of you and you’ll be the first one to get your drink when she comes from the bar. I have been to the poker room many times and I’d say half the time I will ask for another drink and they already have one on the tray for me because ’they thought I may be ready for another already.’ Also, if the waitress hasn’t been around in a while you can ask the dealer for cocktail service and they will hook it up.
The poker room has recently undergone new management as of the beginning of November so I can’t really rate them fairly. The ’lower level’ floor managers who are still there are always helpful. The wait list is kept on the computer and put on the flat screen.
$1/hr in comps if you have the card. It is not yet computerized, so I don’t even bother with it. There are two huge stacks of papers for comps that need to be entered into a computer eventually when they have the technology which drags the rating down. However, the jackpots are excellent. $1 is raked from every hand and added towards the jackpots. They range from $20-$599 and keep building until someone hits them. Hands eligible are quads and straight/royal flushes which brings this rating upto average. I’ve seen quite a few jackpots hit for big money. There are no bad beat jackpots.
I looked up “tapping the glass” online and the first two definitions I saw were both good. From Pokerdictionary.net:
“In poker, the saying ‘Tap the glass’ refers to telling weaker players at the table about their bad play, to vent, and to educate them in the process.”
And from Flopturnriver.com: “Tapping the Glass is a common term for telling the fish at your table how bad they’re playing.”
Both sites immediately stated in strong terms that tapping the glass is bad for business and in poor taste. What I want to talk about is the view from the other side of the aquarium. The inside.
You’re minding your own business, swimming around in your tank, checking out the rocks and plants, when some instigator comes along, and for no reason that’s helpful to anyone, he starts flicking his finger on the glass. Flick flick flick. Tap, tap, tap. So annoying.
“Keep playing like that, go ahead, just keep playing like that and I’ll have all your money before the night’s over.” That’s a typical glass tapper comment. “How could you make such a terrible call?” is another.
Some people cannot walk by an aquarium without tapping on the glass, and some poker players cannot play poker without berating their opponents. And sometimes that opponent is you. Or, as in my case, me. I have been berated thousands of times. But to be fair, for my first ten years of poker, I didn’t just tap on the glass, I pounded on it. And I played bad. So yeah, I took my share of heat.
Turns out that getting my game in line and going pro didn’t provide any shielding. I think that’s because sometimes I make really good plays that look really bad, and sometimes I still make plays that are just plain bad, but mostly it’s because losing sucks and people bitch about it.
I used to enjoy replying to comments that were intended to belittle my play, and over time I developed a small repertoire of retorts.
GLASS TAPPER: “Keep playing like that, ::: snort snort, huff puff :::”
ME: “Would you be happier if I played better?”
GLASS TAPPER: “How could you make such a terrible call?”
ME: “I’m double parked.”
Glass tapping does have some art to it, and I’m an artist appreciator. I have derived much pleasure from listening to clever insults crafted by master tappers, even when they are aimed at me…
THE SETTING: The Bellagio poker room, 1998, before the no-limit boom. Back then, the main games in casinos were limit hold’em and seven-card stud. Few players played both games, and both camps believed their game was the superior test of skill.
THE GAME: $30/60 limit hold’em.Pokeaquarium Apk Mod
THE ACTION: I won a pot by playing a bad hand poorly and getting lucky as hell. Then I did it again. And then came the question…
“What do you do for a living?”
My inquisitor was an obvious pro, and his tone and timing left no doubt as to his meaning, which was, “What could an idiot like you possibly do for a living that pays so well that you can afford to play so bad?”Aquarium Poker Club
“I play stud,” I said.
But those days are long gone. The days of stupid answers to insipid questions. Don’t get me wrong. I still make loopy-looking plays. And I still draw fire for making them. But now the words and expressions I hear and see are harmless sounds and movements, like wind through the trees.
Fort myers poker run 2018. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but needles never hurt me.

I achieved this feat by training myself in the ways of shamelessness. And stillness. And non-competition. And not looking players in the eye. Unless of course I am using my Jedi powers to control their thoughts.
Here’s the thing. Until they take the pain out of poker, until they do away with all the disappointment and frustration, there will always be berated fish, and berated experts. So it doesn’t matter where you land on the scale between novice and ninja. Someone will tap your glass. The only question I have is: Will it annoy you? Will it cause you to perform sub-optimally?
Okay. That was two questions.
And here’s another.
Why are glass tappers annoying?
It’s because you care. It’s because you care about what people think about you and your poker. It’s because you have opinions. Opinions about what’s right and what isn’t. In other words, annoyances annoy you because you’re a normal human bean.
But what if you wanted to make yourself abnormal? What if you wanted to stop caring so much about what other people do and think? What could you do to make yourself content, inside the aquarium, while it’s being tapped?
Two things: apply bandaids, and apply mindfulness. Antigua guatemala november weather.
Band-aids are things like taking a break to cool off, and realizing that the guy isn’t really pestering you, because if it wasn’t you it would be someone else. Another Band-Aid would be to listen to music you love on headphones while being grateful for something in your life that doesn’t suck.
Thoughts and actions like that go a long way, but I’d feel like I was short-changing you if I didn’t mention mindfulness as an additional form of thought and action that also ends annoyances and dissatisfactions, sometimes for one second, and sometimes forever.
To define that term, let’s turn to Merriam Webster:
“Mindfulness is the practice of maintaining a nonjudgmental state of heightened or complete awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, or experiences on a moment-to-moment basis.”
Mindfulness can work like an anesthetic. It can ease the pain. Bad beat pain, or glass tapper pain. And it can bring all sorts of other welcomed improvements. Don’t take my word on it. Do a web search for Mindfulness and Creativity, or Mindfulness and The Brain, or Mindfulness and Wall Street, or Mindfulness and Focus.
But don’t bother searching for Mindfulness and Glass Tapping. There’s nothing on the web about that. Until now!

It’s Europa League action for Paul Robinson tonight, as he believes that Arsenal will let down favourite backers at the Emirates. Here are his selections:Arsenal’s rapid decline to continue
Bet 1: Back Rapid Vienna +1 Goal @ 17/10 – KO 20:00 GMT
Arsenal have already qualified from Group B, and while they have managed to keep their results going in this competition, their domestic form has been poor, and I believe that they are vulnerable tonight.
Rapid Vienna are battling it out with Molde for second place behind the Gunners, and even a point at the Emirates would be a boost, ahead of them hosting the Norwegians next week. Willow creek casino pa attire.
Mikel Arteta is coming in for a bit of criticism, and his team were beaten again at the weekend – losing 2-1 at home to Wolves. A home victory as standard for Rangers
Bet 2: Back Rangers @ 4/9 – KO 20:00 GMT
Steven Gerrard’s men have excelled themselves on all fronts this season, as they have a healthy lead at the head of the SPL, and they know that a victory tonight, confirms their place in the next round of the Europa League.
I can’t see any issues for Rangers, they won the reverse fixture in Belgium by a 2-0 scoreline, and Standard Liege have little chance of getting out of the group.
Only Benfica have been able to stop the hosts winning at Ibrox this term, and they needed two late goals to do so.Europa League Qualifying 2020Leverkusen to have an nice trip to France

Nice’s form has fallen off a cliff in recent weeks, and they head into tonight’s match on the back of four straight defeats – three of which were at home.

Owner Las Vegas Sands Corporation inked a deal to sell Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem to the Poarch Band of Creek Indians’ Wind Creek Hospitality for $1.3 billion in 2018.
The transaction closed in spring 2019. As the sale closed, Sands applied for a PA online casino and online poker license on Wind Creek’s behalf.
Additionally, the property is no longer known as Sands. Now, it is known as Wind Creek Bethlehem.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approved the application in October 2018 despite the lack of a plan for Wind Creek Bethlehem online gambling. The Poarch Band of Creek Indians also submitted an application for a $10 million sports betting license.

As a condition of the $1.3 billion sale to Wind Creek Hospitality, owner Las Vegas Sands Corporation was forced to apply for a PA license to operate online poker, online slots, and online table games.
It was certainly an interesting move, considering Las Vegas Sands Corporation’s founder and principal owner, Sheldon Adelson, has done everything in his power to fight the spread of online gambling across the US.
The company’s anti-online gambling stance came to the fore once again at a meeting of the PGCB ahead of the deal closing. There, Sands executives testified the company has no knowledge of Wind Creek’s online gambling plans, but it disapproved of whatever those plans might be.
At the time, representatives from Wind Creek testified it had no concrete plans. Despite all that, the PGCB went ahead and approved the application.
It wasn’t until 2020 that Wind Creek began making headway towards online gaming.Wind Creek launches online casino, sports betting to follow
In June 2020, Wind Creek got provisional approval to offer retail and online sports betting, and also announced plans to launch an online casino product.
The Wind Creek online casino went live in late July 2020, becoming the tenth iGaming operator in the state. An online Betfred sportsbook will follow. Wind Creek gave an original target date of late November for their retail Betfred sportsbook opening.
Wind Creek was a bit slow out getting into the online gaming market in PA, but they are well on their way in expanding their online presence now.
It remains to be seen if Wind Creek will make use of its online poker license some time down the road as well.About Wind Creek Bethlehem
Before Wind Creek swooped in, Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem opened in Northeastern Pennsylvania on the former Bethlehem Steel Company site in May 2009. It quickly became one of the top two grossing casinos in the state.

Each of the no deposit Casino bonuses found on this page are completely free to use and require no deposit whatsoever. The great part about these free money bonuses is that they give you the opportunity to win real money without risking a penny of your own!

I replied to Hopa by email on 2 November 2017 pointing out the breach of the casino’s terms by the casino. I have received no reply, which is odd given their websites states: “committed to ’CARE’ - Customers Are Really Everything. We have implemented a professional customer support team ready to assist you 7 days a week “ Obviously not.
When it comes to spam messages, conventional wisdom dictates that you shouldn’t follow links or call phone numbers in the message, order products from the spammer, or open files attached to the email. We all should know by now that you should never open attached executable files, and spam filters now treat all .exe files as suspicious. When spammers began flooding inboxes with .zip files containing executables, we caught on pretty quickly as well.
But HTML isn’t executable — it’s just plain text — so does that mean it’s safe to open attachments when they’re just HTML files? Hell no! Case in point: this doozy that came through our spam bucket last week.
*When it comes to slots, Hopa has a different approach than many other casinos online. Instead of blindly following new releases and building campaigns around these games, they try to make decisions on their own regarding which slot is worth more attention and exposure on site.
*I’ve been troubleshooting an issue I’m having with legitimate emails being sent to quarantine due to being marked as spam or phish. These emails include some from google and g suite, our anti-virus provider, and state government.Hopa Slots Spam Email Settings
The message subject reads Your Funds Will Be Transfered and the body helpfully informs the recipient that I am able to complete the funds transfer late night — I hope that doesn’t mean someone sent Jimmy Fallon $28,126 from my bank account. It continues, Copies of the payment is being attached, and the message indeed has an attachment named Copies of the payment.htm which I can open and…
Gambling policy. …uh oh. That’s where the trouble begins.
Not Poker Sunglasses, Poker Eyewear. Best poker glasses. Wearing sunglasses at the poker table continues to be the fastest growing trend in the game. Walk into any casino poker room in Las Vegas, or any local bar with a free poker game, and you will see 30-40% of the players wearing their favorite sunglasses while playing.
The end result: Three pieces of malware installed; Two password-stealing copies of the Zbot phishing trojan, and a remote-access backdoor to boot. Considering Zbot’s propensity for stealing bank account logins and other sensitive credentials, I suppose the subject line was correct after all. Your funds will be transferred. Just not where you thought.
A more careful look at the attachment reveals that it contains some lightly obfuscated Javascript code. When rendered in a browser, the code instructs the browser to load a page on a Web site called DreamLifeAsia, which is (suprisingly, considering the name) not a pornography site. That page contains instructions for the browser to load a one-pixel-square iframe from a page on the raceobject.ru Web site.
The raceobject.ru page contains scripting that instructs the browser to download and execute a payload from yet a third Web site, problemdollars.ru. It just so happens that these fine, upstanding Russian-registered Web sites are hosted on the same server, located at the same IP address.
Whomever scrabbled together this row of dominoes must have thought they were being really clever when they made their code hard to read. Take a look at the line below, for example. At first glance, you might not be able to determine what it’s supposed to do. It looks like gobbledygook, right?
Well, take out every other character in the line encircled in red, and the cloying concatenation code, and this is what you get:
Yeah, genius, we figured out your awesome trick. It’s the “insert a random letter between every character” encryption algorithm, first invented in the year one by a five year old girl who wanted to pass a clay tablet to her friend in class without the teacher being able to read her Aramaic. The only significant difference is that there are no little hearts drawn over the “i”s. RSA and Bruce Schneier, eat your hearts out. These guys are obviously l33t.
In the end, the page directs a vulnerable browser to download the backdoor to the victim’s computer. The backdoor pulls down Zbot. Zbot contacts its command and control server, pulls down a data file with instructions, and makes another copy of itself on the infected computer’s hard drive.
In addition, the backdoor changes all the Security Zone settings in IE, clears your cookies, changes the settings for the Windows firewall to permit Windows Explorer (not IE) to receive data from anyone on the Internet, and makes other modifications to security settings that make it far more likely a victim will further infect him- or herself.
Bottom line, it doesn’t matter what kind of attachment you get. Don’t open anything attached to a spam email in a browser. After all, it’s pretty obvious that this is just a ruse. Jimmy Fallon doesn’t need your money, just some decent Nielsen numbers in his time slot, and that’s one thing Zbot can’t steal.
Scammers often try to trick you into sharing personal or financial information by sending you messages or links to websites that might look like they’re from Apple, but their actual purpose is to steal your account information. Some phishing emails will ask you to click on a link to update your account information. Others might look like a receipt for a purchase in the App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store or for Apple Music, that you’re certain you didn’t make.
Never enter your account information on websites linked from these messages, and never download or open attachments included within them.Is this email legitimate?
If you receive an email about an App Store or iTunes Store purchase, and you’re not sure whether it is real, you can look for a couple of things that can help confirm that the message is from Apple.
Genuine purchase receipts—from purchases in the App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or Apple Music—include your current billing address, which scammers are unlikely to have. You can also review your App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or Apple Music purchase history.

Infinity Ward has posted a status update on their website about the stat reset bug that occurred in game following the latest patch update.
Download Infinity Slots - Spin and Win for Windows 10 for Windows to infinity Slots - a new Vegas style casino slots machine where you can find free and wild slots with awesome bonuses and cool. Download Infinity Slots: Google Play; Apple App Store. Got questions, looking for game tips, want to meet other players and chat with them. One or more of these steps may resolve the issue if a game will not load or play as expected. Close the game, log out of Facebook and clear your browser’s cache. Then exit your browser all the way (close all tabs), and then reopen your browser and log back in to Facebook. Infinity Slots: Vegas Casino Hack is done in English, but everything is so simple that you will not have problems. Participate in tournaments, share your achievements with friends and invite them. Download this game you can completely free of charge on your smartphone or tablet. Infinity slots are a blast I loaded this about 2 months ago and I’m having fun. The biggest positive is the graphics, they are fantastic! There are nuances and overt differences between the look of the various games and their bonuses and/or free spins.
The issue prompted users to pick Yes or No to reset their stats in order to continue playing. The studio advised that users do not select any of those options and hard close the application and restart it.
In a post on their site, they’ve provided some additional info on the issue:
Hi everyone,
We want to give a status update on the error prompt issue that occurred while rolling out today’s title update.
A backend fix has already been deployed across all platforms, so you won’t see a download prompt or see anything pop-up on screen to notify you a fix is available. This fix looks at two things:
Loadout Slots:
Part of today’s update included additional loadout slots. If you created classes in these slots, you’ll see that they have been reset back to default. This will only happen one time. If you didn’t create any additional classes in those slots, you won’t notice anything. This also fixes an issue where clicking on these slots could kick some players back to the multiplayer screen.
Error Prompt:
*If you were presented with the error prompt and did not click “Yes” and closed the game, your stats are still intact. Feel free to play as usual.
*If you did click “Yes” – you most likely noticed your stats in the combat record, leaderboards, custom classes, and Operators were reset. Nothing related to your progression was lost, so your rank, XP, Battle Pass progression, weapon progression, unlocks, purchases, etc., are all still intact.
We’re actively working on a fix for this, but do not have one to deploy tonight. You are still able to play the game as usual and your progression will still track, but please be aware that once we do have a fix, we may have to roll back your stats to the state they were in prior to today’s update.
We appreciate everyone’s patience while we work through this issue and thank you to everyone who has helped by sending us their information, videos, and screenshots. We’ll provide another update when we have more information for those whose stats were reset and again, thank you all for your patience.

Wearing sunglasses at the poker table continues to be the fastest growing trend in the game. Walk into any casino poker room in Las Vegas, or any local bar with a free poker game, and you will see 30-40% of the players wearing their favorite sunglasses while playing. Some players wear them to hide their own eyes. Others wear them to have that “intimidation factor” when they are staring down their opponent. WSOP Main Event champion Greg Raymer wears his trademark “dinosaur eyes” glasses because it simply is distracting to have those ugly things looking right at you.
I know from my regular play that most amateur players will immediately glance at their chip stack after seeing a big hand when they look at their cards, so hiding their eyes can immediately solve this habit. Besides that simple tell, glasses can also hide blinking patterns, the wide-eyed look of surprise when you see A-A, and numerous other things other players can see by watching you. With this in mind, I decided to test out several different brands of glasses to see which actually help my game, and which ones hurt it. The differences were incredible.
I judged the glasses on seven factors:– Price (and what I would really pay for these)– Style– Quality– Selection– Visibility of my eyes– Visibility of the hole cards– Visibility of the rest of the table
I then selected three of the more popular brands from the internet, along with a couple of pair of average sunglasses that you can buy in any WalMart or Target. We can call this last category simply “Cheapo’s”.
The two that I compared are:
Poker ArmorBlue Shark Optics
One of the first factors that stand out is price. I tried glasses ranging from $9.99 from Target to $169 from Blue Shark Optics. Being a firm believer that price doe’s not always equal quality, I knew I was going to have fun with the comparisons.
To begin with, in the interest of brevity, I am immediately going to throw out the cheapo’s from the discount stores. They are fine for wearing at the beach, or while driving, but they have absolutely no place at the poker table. These sunglasses are designed to reduce light, and most poker rooms are already dark. The average player, wearing the average cheap pair of sunglasses, regularly misreads suits, and mistakes the 4 for an Ace. A recipe for disaster when there is money on the line.
Now that we’ve established that poker eye wear must be designed for poker play, I began the true comparison. I had two sun glass wearing friends order a product from each company, and wear them while playing poker for a week. They then switched glasses for another week.
Poker Armor eye wear received somewhat higher grades, simply because they had more choices, and a cheaper price. With three frame styles, all at $58.00, their appeal could certainly be understood. However of the three styles they offer, only one (The Secret Agent) was even deemed wearable by the reviewers. The other two were rejected by the reviewers before the order was placed. This being said, the quality simply wasn’t there to support a $58 price tag.The reviewers all had one high mark of praise, and some consistent complaints about the Secret Agent. The praise was in simple comfort. The Secret Agent is a lightweight frame that is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Beyond that though, our review panel of all three gave a thumbs down to the product based on one resounding reason: They simply didn’t protect the eyes from view. The lens was too small, and did not extend to the sides of the eyes. And quite honestly, you can see right through them from across the table. The light enhancement was decent enough, but not enough to warrant recommending the glasses.
Lastly, we took a look at Blue Shark Optics. One of the first things you notice when you visit their website is the choices. At this time, Blue Shark is offering eight different styles to choose from. Two of these are being phased out, but the remaining six are in a variety of stylish frames that are sure to satisfy the needs of any customer.
The lens on the Blue Shark glasses all have what the company calls Crystalion-3 coating. This coating not only increased light to the user, but was virtually impenetrable from the outside. You simply could not detect eye movement when looking at the wearer. Our reviewer’s chose the Viper Shark, simply to be somewhat consistent in comparing the glasses, as this was the closest style to match the two from the other companies. While we based our review off of the Viper Shark, the true poker enthusiast would probably be more interested in the MP3 Tiger Shark. 1GB of storage built into the frame, with ear buds perfect placed to allow any player to sit for up to 5 hours jamming to their favorite tunes without the wires associates with an iPod.And if you don’t like the frames offered by Blue Shark, you can even send in a frame you do like and they will custom fit a lens (prescription or not) for those frames.
Another strong selling point of the Blue Shark brand is the availability of prescription eye wear. Simply fill out the order form, and provide a copy of your current eye wear prescription, and the company will make a pair of medical quality sunglasses for any user. I personally wear bifocals, and I have long been relegated to either my normal prescription sunglasses, cheap clip-ons, or having a poker film applied to my glasses. It is nice to see at least one poker eye wear company understand the needs of their customers and provide this service.
While the Blue Shark Optics prices were higher than the rest, the quality and effectiveness of their product certainly warranted the price difference. Their frames are made of high quality acetate and not cheap plastic. Starting at $129 ($169 for the MP3 Tiger Shark), the Blue Shark product should be seen as an investment rather than an expense. These glasses can not only be worn at the poker table, but are perfect for night driving, as well as to reduce eyestrain for computer users. Sure, you might look silly wearing sunglasses while multi-tabling at Full Tilt, but your eyes will thank you for thinking of them.Blue Shark even offers free shipping and a money back guarantee. And professional players like John “The Razor” Phan, Young Phan and Kathy Liebert are winning while wearing them, which is more than can be said for the other brands.
So in the end, the three reviewers were all unanimous in their choice of Blue Shark Optics as their preference. The slight increase in cost was more than offset by the comfort, quality, and multi-functionality of the product. The bottom line is that Blue Shark Optics deliver what they promise, with a lens that, unlike the others, completely hides the eyes. And in the end, as we were comparing them for poker play, the others weren’t even close. So when you are ready to step up your game, I highly recommend you do so in Blue Shark Optics eye wear. Professional poker players across the spectrum have made them their personal choice, and I believe that you should too.
Now I know this is coming across like a commercial for Blue Shark Optics, but I want to make it clear that we conducted a comparison with real players, in real money games. The players weren’t told which brand they should choose, but they all chose Blue Shark Optics anyway. Since I have long felt that Blue Shark Optics were the best on the market, I was very happy to see the three players make the same decision while wearing them under real tournament conditions.Similar Posts:
I think I’d feel like a tool wearing glasses indoors. However those Blue Sharks are pretty bad ass.
That was an interesting and informative read. Sunglasses are indeed becoming very common with poker players. I have a poker forums at http://www.flopfirst.com , perhaps you would like to share your insight with us. Thank You
I just got a pair of the Viper Sharks. If you wear glasses when playing, you know the biggest issue is getting a pair you can actually see through, particularly in bad lighting. These lenses are absolutely perfect for that. In light, there is a bluish tint, just enough to serve the purpose of blocking too much light. But in dark and poorly lit places, these glasses are fantastic; there’s literally no difference whatsoever between having them on and not having them on. I’ve had trouble buying glasses for poker for years, but now I’ll never need to worry about it again. I’ll wear the Viper Sharks and smash my old pairs to bits when I get cracked.
Wow, talk about a fishy review. A paragraph saying brand 1 sucks. A paragraph saying brand 2 sucks. Then 6 paragraphs saying OMG you’ve got to buy Blue Shark Optics.
Honestly, I was going to buy a pair but after seeing this review I think I’ll see if I can find an “honest” review first.
Hi Mike
I didn’t write the review, but in all fairness I don’t think it’s that bad.Maybe Blue Shark Optics are simply better…..
I have tried all three of these brands and I have found that this review is very accurate. So, “Mike”, at least on my end, there is nothing “fishy” about what this review has to say. The only fishy thing is you disputing it. Why?Best Poker ClassesLeave a commentSpecial promotionsPoker Pro Bankroll SeriesLatest Poker Strategy ArticlesContact PokerBankrollBlogQuestions? Concerns? It’s been a few months since HP launched their Z400, Z600 and Z800 workstations, and we’ve finally got the company’s mid-range Z600 on the SlashGear test bench. A dual-processor monster that HP envisage being used in midrange CAD, financial modelling and even high-end DCC, the Z600 would also make for a storming video editing workstation; HP also claim it’s environmentally friendly. That’s the theory, anyway: can the Z600 really deliver performance in a home or small-office friendly way?
The specifications of our test machine certainly make for impressive reading. Packing dual Intel Xeon X5570 processors (each running at 2.93GHz with 8MB cache and 1333MHz FSB), there’s also 6GB of DDR3-1333 RAM, two 160GB 10,000rpm SATA hard-drives, an NVIDIA Quadro FX1800 video card with 768MB of memory, slot-loading 8x DVD burner and Windows Vista Business 64-bit.
HP squeeze all of that into one of their latest Z-series workstation cases, complete with tool-free access and construction, along with a FireWire card for media-friendly connectivity. There are two PCIe Gen2 x16 card slots, one Gen2 x8, one Gen1 x8 and two PCI slots, along with four eSATA ports. To put the same system on or under your desk would cost $7,501; for $450 more you can double the RAM to a whopping 12GB, though the maximum on offer is 24GB.
Build quality is excellent, and the tower case is slimmer than you might expect: just 6.5-inches across. A hinged panel at the front hides the 5.25-inch bays, one of which is taken up by the DVD drive, plus there are a few USB 2.0 ports on the front-right bezel. All in all HP offer six external USB 2.0 connections (and a further three inside), two of which will be used up immediately since they bundle a USB keyboard and mouse in with the workstation. The side-panel – which has a key lock for casual security – opens smoothly and reveals well laid-out drive bays and some clever fan positioning. Both CPU fans are upright and pull air from front to back, rather than pushing it parallel to the motherboard; there’s also a large fan duct with its own fan which covers the memory.
Various green tabs indicate sections of the case which pull out, such as the tool-free drive bays which slide out from the side and into which the hard-drives snap. The power supply is a non-standard size and shape, and runs across the entire base of the Z600 with a single pull-handle for removal; the benefit is fewer cables criss-crossing the case space, as they all connect at the back and are routed behind the motherboard. Finally, there’s also an integrated grab-handle at the top, front and back, making transport straightforward.
The benefit to this non-standard internal layout and thoughtful ducting is that the Z600 is surprisingly quiet. You’d expect a dual-CPU workstation with six fans to sound like a minor tornado, but in fact it’s incredibly quiet. We’ve tested basic notebooks with more noticeable fan noise than the Z600 puts out, and according to HP their 80PLUS Bronze compliant PSU is 85-percent efficient and means the workstation is ENERGY STAR v5 qualified. In standby, the Z600 uses under 1W too, meaning you won’t be paying over the odds for the benefit of quick start-up times.Hp Z600 Ram Slots Upgrade
Of course, frugality and quietness are no use whatsoever if your workstation lacks grunt, but thankfully the Z600 isn’t short in that department either. Needless to say, standard day-to-day productivity tasks make little to no difference in the Z600’s stride, with several browser windows, Outlook, HD media playback and other concurrent routine apps having a negligible impact on the system.
We then loaded up Geekbench, which measures processor and memory performance, to get an idea of exactly how potent the Z600 is. Total score was 12,828, with the Z600 scoring 14,814 and 17,622 in processor integer and floating point performance respectively, while memory and memory bandwidth performance came in at 4,965 and 4,832 respectively. By way of comparison, the HP Z400 Workstation we reviewed four months ago – which has a single Xeon 2.93GHz processor and 6GB of RAM – managed 7,613 in Geekbench.
Finally, we ran PCMark and compared the Z600 with a Dell Precision T5500 workstation. The T5500 has dual quad-core Intel Xeon X5570 2.93GHz processors, 6GB of third-party DDR3 1333GHz memory, NVIDIA Quadro FX1800 graphics and a 300GB Western Digital VelociRaptor hard-drive; the final build price was around $7,700, two hundred dollars more than the HP. As the graphs show, performance of the two systems was, unsurprisingly, on a par, with the Z600 edging slightly ahead in its overall PCMark score (8396 versus the Dell’s 8355) while both machines comprehensively bested the HP Z400.
The Z600 range starts from $1,800, though it’s worth repeating that for the dual-processor machine we’ve been testing you’re looking at just over $7,500. That’s a whole lot of money, but then again you get a whole lot of performance for it, and in a form-factor and package that, before now, would have far more demands to accommodate its space, power and noise. It’s overkill for anybody but the most extreme of video editors, but if you’re living and breathing CAD and high-end design, or running plenty of real-time modelling, then the HP Z600 Workstation should be high up on your shortlist. For Cory Williams (pictured above, right), firefighting runs in the family. After studying fire science at Edison State College, Williams joined the Fort Myers Fire Department in 2010. His younger brother Dalton and their dad, Larry, work there too. The trio recently enjoyed Cory’s sizzling run at the 2018 WSOP Main Event, which started with a modest sit ’n’ go.
“I walked into the Pavilion Room and had no idea what was going on with the sit ’n’ go’s.”

With over a dozen live tournament cashes and $82,657 in recorded earnings, including a $33,000 score in April 2017, Williams is no stranger to tournament poker. He also dealt part-time for five years at the Naples Fort Myers Greyhound Track. Deciding that it was high time to visit Vegas, he arrived on July 1st, the day before before the Main Event, and got busy.
“This was my first WSOP,” Williams said. “I walked into the Pavilion Room and had no idea what was going on with the sit ’n’ go’s.”
The unfamiliar surroundings didn’t faze him. He promptly won a $525 sit ’n’ go, busted an $1,100 Mega Satellite, and earned ten grand in a $2,175 Mega Satellite. Just like that, Williams had enough money for his first Main Event. Main Event Journey
Williams sailed through Day 1 and bagged 200,600 chips on Day 2. After hearing the news, Larry, Dalton and some of Williams’ friends flew to Las Vegas. Hundreds of good wishes bombarded social media. Williams’ wife and young daughter rooted him on back home.
Buoyed by encouraging words and strong hands, especially when his pocket aces held up against an opponent’s pair and flush draw in a pivotal pot, Williams pushed through the bubble and beyond.
On Day 5, Williams was assigned to the ESPN Feature Table alongside 2012 Big One for One Drop winner Antonio Esfandiari. In the blink of an eye, the Florida firefighter had gone from playing a $525 sit ’n’ go to occupying poker’s biggest stage with one of its biggest names.Fort Myers Poker Run
In one key hand, after Esfandiari opened to 62,000 from middle position and Martin Sejer called from the cutoff, Williams re-raised to 142,000 from the button. Undeterred, Esfandiari shoved all-in for 1,073,000. Sejer quickly folded and Williams went into the tank.
“This experience was surreal, to be honest.”
“That’s a good sign,” Esfandiari chirped. Williams paused, briefly showed Sejer his hand, and folded.
“What? No way!” Sejer exclaimed. After some discussion, Sejer confirmed that Williams had folded pocket queens.
Despite a few confrontations on the felt, Williams and Esfandiari enjoyed each other’s company. Betting $500, $1,000, and $2,000 at a time, they gambled on whether the flop would be red or black. “Antonio is great for the game,” Williams said.
Most of Day 5 went smoothly, and Williams amassed over five million chips. But then, he experienced every poker player’s nightmare — running pocket kings into pocket aces. Even so, he survived the evening with a decent stack of 1.18 million.
Day 6 started fast and furious for Williams. On a board, Dan Wilson bet 425,000. Williams called, saw his opponent’s , and mucked. He had only 400,000 chips left.
A few hands later, Ryan Rivers raised to 125,000 from late position and Williams moved all in for about 650,000. Rivers quickly called with and Williams showed .
“I have a lot of friends here, so we’re going to have fun the next day or two.”
The flop gave Rivers top set and Williams the nut flush draw. The turn put Williams ahead. Williams leaned closer over the felt, peering intently at the board. There was nothing to do but wait for the last card.
The river was favorable... for Rivers. Staring intently at the , a card that gave his opponent a full house, Williams tapped the felt and rose from his seat. Six days. 103rd place. $57,010.
“This experience was surreal, to be honest,” Williams said.
As he walked to the payout desk, Williams’ dad, brother and friends trailed close behind. They had supported him every step of the way and, despite the unfortunate bustout, were ready to celebrate.
“I have a lot of friends here,” Williams said, “so we’re going to have fun the next day or two.”
